What you can count on?
- Quality control checkpoints. We take the time to know where the main pulse points of jobs are and what needs our special attention. Not only that, we can tell you within a five-minute window exactly what stage your project is at in the process – who, what, where and when.
- Unsurpassed security levels. When security and confidentiality are vital to you, you can rest easy knowing we’ve gone through rigorous auditing, disaster recovery planning and regular IT vulnerability assessments. We can even provide confidentiality agreements and video surveillance if required.
- Quality job implementation. Our standards are high – high enough for you to relax, knowing that the final results will meet your expectations. For instance, we use a higher dpi (dots per inch) inkjet process than other companies. Why? Simple. It looks better. And your project is worthy of the best. Don’t just take our word for it, ask one of our clients, an insurance underwriter , what it means to them.
- Cross-training. We are a team. Our documentation on your special needs and ongoing project is so precise that another Account Manager can step in at a moment’s notice and seamlessly get the job done. And we cross-train our staff to be able to handle all of our sophisticated programs so that you don’t ever have to worry that your project won’t get done on time. Your peace of mind is important to us. And our people take pride in knowing they work for a company that always delivers…any delay in any project is simply not good enough.
- Up-to-date technology and equipment. If it will get the job done better, we probably have it. That includes environmentally-friendly ink and technologies.
- Unrivalled industry knowledge. We are as highly-integrated with Canada Post as it is possible to be. We are a lifetime member of the National Association of Major Mail Users (NAMMU), directly providing input to Canada Post as a Mail Service Provider. We have previously been on the board of NAMMU and have sat on national panels for Canada Post rules and regulations implementation and consulted with the organization on its shipping software package. In addition, we have served as a Canada Post test facility on numerous projects.
- Customized services. Many of Wood & Associates’ clients have unique needs that our larger competitors are not equipped to handle. We welcome your labour-intensive projects, eg. binder collation, sample kit preparation, packaging and shipping point-of-purchase materials, processing, pick and packing for product and literature fulfilment. For financial, insurance and newsletter customers, we prepare very detailed invoice and statement mailings and we also excel at collating packages that involve multiple personalized lasered inserts.
- A partnership. We don’t just do the job, we make sure we understand what you need to accomplish. And our 25+ years in the business have provided a level of experience and expertise that we are happy to share. Let us help you carry the load. We look at your big picture and provide practical recommendations and solutions.
History
Founded by Annabelle Wood in October 1979, Wood & Associates has grown from an offsite mailroom for smaller mailings to a business process service provider offering a full range of data and communication solutions.
This small family run company was created because customers asked for help. Whether hand inserting letters into envelopes or advising those customers on distribution strategies, the result was a value added service based on ideas and solutions that became the W&A way.
Wood & Associates Milestones1979 – Wood & Associates Direct Mail Services opens in a 3,000 sq. ft. facility, focusing on specialty mailings of less than 2,000 pieces.
1983– Wood & Associates is hired to hand address and mail 70,000 Christmas cards for then Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.
1985 – Wood & Associates moves to larger premises to accommodate the growing business.
1990’s – Throughout the decade, Wood & Associates evolves from a purely lettershop business to the database management and business process service provider that it is today, offering such services as handling donation deposits and tax receipts and personalized thank-you letters for charities and a myriad of other complicated mail campaigns involving multiple and varied drops, lists and packages.
2004 – The growing company moves to its current warehouse and office facility with an Information Technology Centre and a Response Control Centre. It boasts 35 fulltime employees in addition to part time, on-call staff and a roster of some 350 customers.
2006 – Annabelle Wood hands the operational reins over to President & COO Ralph Bain, who continues the tradition of combining core values and services with the latest technology and high-volume fulfilment capability.
